While Enoch was operating his BBQ Smokehouse in Vinings, it occurred to him that everything he was preparing could be made kosher. Meaning, authentic Southern slow-cooked BBQ beef and chicken could be reproduced to his high standards. “Why not?” And so it began, The Glatt Smokehouse was born. After much experimentation with kosher meats, seeing as the marbling, ratios and salting changed the properties of the kosher meat, he has successfully brought the taste of the South to our kosher tables.
Our meats are all slowly and succulently prepared with our proprietary hand rubs to our exacting specifications. For example, our Pit Smoked BBQ Brisket is slow smoked at very low temperatures for 10-12 hours, our Beef Back Ribs and our signature Flibs™ (special-cut 3 inch Flanken Ribs) for 8-10 hours. The BBQ Chicken is delicately smoked with a combination of lighter woods to produce just the right flavor without overpowering the meat. The Brunswick Stew is prepared using an original old South recipe and chock-full of hand pulled BBQ beef. One word, scrumptious!
